About your trip

Costa Rica: Pacific Dive & Adventure Escape

A Perfect Blend of Ocean Exploration, Jungle Thrills, and Relaxed Pura Vida

Join BlueBound Travel for a one-of-a-kind Costa Rican experience that blends underwater discoveryinland adventure, and the soul-soothing rhythm of the Pura Vida lifestyle. Based at the Casa Conde Beachfront Resort, tucked along the tranquil shores of Playa Panamá in the Gulf of Papagayo, this exclusive 8-day journey offers both divers and non-divers an expertly curated balance of nature, culture, and comfort.

Costa Rica’s Pacific coastline is a hidden gem for divers. While the Caribbean side is better known, the Pacific is where the action is—dramatic volcanic formations, intense pelagic encounters, and diverse topography shaped by tectonic activity. The Gulf of Papagayo is especially rich in marine life, home to white-tip reef sharkssea turtlesschools of rays, and seasonal visitors like humpback whales and giant Pacific mantas. Our dive schedule includes 10 guided dives, from the Catalina Islands to Monkey Head Rock and the Tortuga Wreck. Every dive brings new surprises and incredible photo ops for all experience levels.

But what makes this trip truly stand out is what happens above the surface. Non-divers and divers alike will enjoy optional daily excursions, from chocolate and coffee tours to hiking waterfall-fed canyonspaddleboarding, or simply unwinding on the resort’s private beach. And then there’s the crown jewel of the week: Adventure Day at Hacienda Guachipelín, where you’ll soar through canyons on ziplines, ride horses through the forest, tube down river rapids, and soak in volcanic hot springs under the trees.

Evenings are designed to be social and flexible—whether you prefer quiet sunset dinners by the pool, live music and beach bars in Playas del Coco, or joining our guides at their favorite local spots, like Father RoosterVilla Italia, or Zi Lounge, for dancing and storytelling under the stars.

A Day in the Life

What It’s Like to Dive Costa Rica with BlueBound

Wake up to the sound of ocean waves and howler monkeys echoing from the nearby hills. After a fresh tropical breakfast, you head to the dock for a short ride to Playas del Coco, where your dive boat awaits. Within minutes, you’re descending alongside Catalina Island’s iconic arches, where manta rays often glide past like shadows in sunlight.

After two dives—maybe including a wreck or a shark encounter—you’re back at the resort by early afternoon. Lunch is fresh and local: ceviche, plantains, grilled fish. Then it’s your call: book a massage, relax poolside with a cocktail, or kayak through the calm, shallow bay. Come evening, you might join a BlueBound-hosted dinner or wander into town with new dive buddies for craft beer, live music, and Costa Rican warmth that feels instantly familiar.

The BlueBound Difference: Dive with Purpose

At BlueBound Travel, we don’t just explore—we preserve. Every trip is personally guided, with one or more of our experienced dive professionals on site to handle logistics, assist with gear, offer dive tips, and ensure safety throughout the week.

Our guides are there to support you, not to vacation. They’ll work closely with local dive teams, helping steer decisions and uphold the highest standards. From the moment you arrive, you’ll feel like you’ve done this with us before—even if it’s your first time.

We partner only with local businesses that share our commitment to conservation, comfort, and meaningful connection. With BlueBound, you dive with purpose, and you’re never just a passenger.
